TUTORIALS

XTech is seeking highly qualified instructors to lead pre-conference tutorials. All tutorials will be selected based on the merits of the topic and instructor. Tutorials may be half-day or full-day. (Please be sure to indicate any special requirements and length of tutorial on the submission form.)

Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Browser Technologies
  • Knowledge Technologies
  • XML and Databases
  • Web Development
  • Web Services
  • e-Business
  • Graphics & Multimedia

A complete handout for the tutorial is REQUIRED.

All selected instructors will receive a FREE registration for the conference. Please note that this only applies to one instructor per tutorial. A discounted rate will be set up for additional instructors.

In addition, all those who submit abstracts, but are not chosen for the conference program will receive a discount of $100 off their gold pass or conference registration. Registration instructions will be available on the registration form.

The Purpose - is to provide a task-oriented, small-group educational experience directed toward the understanding and acquisition of specific skills and methodologies.

The Timing - of each tutorial may be half-day and two-day. (Break and lunch times will be included.)

Attendance will range from 15-50 people in each room.

Deadline for proposals is 9 January 2006. Handouts due 3 April 2006.

Proposal Deadline Has Past


Marketing/promotional presentations will not be considered for conference presentations (exception being product presentations). The talks must be submitted online in the requested abstract format and must be original work of professional quality.

Registration Discount Available to All Participants

All selected speakers and tutorial instructors will receive one free registration/per presentation/tutorial for the conference (16-19 May), provided their paper and/or handout is received by the above deadline. In addition, all abstract submitters not chosen for the conference are entitled to receive a $100 discount on their conference registration.
